Fun for the Whole Family!

If a tie is like kissing your sister, losing is like kissing you grandmother with her teeth out.
-George Brett-

Bon Soo is here! Our winter carnival is going on for the rest of the week. The fireworks on Friday were awesome. There was the Michelle Wright concert at the Steelback, which drew tons of people and was apparently an excellent show. (I didn't go, unfortunately)
I played the Bon Soo dart tournament on Sunday. I didn't win, but that's not important right now. I played both the doubles and singles. I didn't make it out of my section in either event, but I had a TON of fun!
There was Guitar Hero competition over the weekend, which was a new event. It was pretty cool. It's nice to see new events coming up, especially ones that catch on to new trends in entertainment.
We also had the I-500 snowmobile race this weekend. There was some concern about what shape the track was going to be in after the warm spell we had, but it got cold in time for it to tighten up so the race could go on. Corey Davidson became a 6 time winner, and on his mother's birthday no less. CONGRATS ON THE WIN!
My daughters want to go in the polar bear swim this coming weekend. I entered it 11 years in a row back in the day, and I know that it's a really fun event. The'll have a ball. I can't wait to see them carry on a family tradition.
There's plenty going on this week for people of all ages in town this week.

Pax all.
