Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too? -Douglas Adams-
It's been such a good week, I don't know where to begin.
Let's start with the most recent and happiest surprise we have. My youngest daughter is engaged! Her boyfriend asked her today to marry him. He asked Sandi and I if it would be ok if he proposed, and once we told him we would be proud to have him as part of the family, he proceeded to pop the question. He picked out a very nice ring set, btw. (Sorry Mark, not from your store :( .) 2010 is the planned year for the wedding. That will give us a few years to put some money away for it.
On Thursday, Sandi and I went to Fort Creek with the dog. We took her for a walk through the trails there. She loved it. The scenery was breathtaking. It was a georgous, sunny day, -2C, and not a cloud in the sky. Pita ran her butt off, and managed to make 3 new friends along the way. We really enjoyed the walk. It got a bit long for Sandi towards the end. Her back was getting sore by the time we were about 3/4 throught the walk. We all slept great that night though!
Monday we took Damian over to see Sandi's parents. They had a blast with him. We had a good visit. We took him down to the mall later and showed him off to everyone. Once we got home he had a good, long nap on my stomach. (I've spent a lot of time creating the perfect sleeping space for grandchildren, at least that's my story). He is such a good baby.
Our niece just had a baby girl. They had to induce labour. They started at 8am on Monday, and she had a baby girl at 5pm Tuesday. The were going to perform a C-section, but every time they went to assess her, there was progress so they waited. All is well now though. Both baby and mom are very healthy and happy.
This last week has just been one good day after another. It sets the bar high for this week, I suppose, but I think it going to be another good week.
Pax, all.
