Here's paint in your eye.

The impossible often has a kind of integrity which the merely improbable lacks. -Douglas Adams-

The new job starts Sunday. In one way I'm looking forward to it, and in another way, I fear I've settled for less than what I've been looking for and will end up trapped in this new job. The income will be better than EI, I suppose, but I was really looking for more. I'll still be looking, of course. Eventually I'll find what I'm really looking for, but in the mean time, I'll work with what I have at hand.
My mother-in-law is settling in nicely at the nursing home. They're great up there. They keep her busy, and that keeps her mind off the recent upsets she's gone through. Her memories are reasonablt connected some days and all over the place others. She's doing ok though. And we're all breathing a lot easier knowing she's safe and being looked after. It takes a load off all of our shoulders, and we are all breathing easier.
Sandi started a new job. She is enjoying it a lot. The people she is working with are great, and the hours are nice. Weekends off are always a plus, too. I think she'll do well where she is.
That's about it for now.

Pax, all.

It's been HOW LONG!?!?

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair. -Douglas Adams-

Ok.. It's been a while since I posted. We've been busy looking after Sandi's mom, sorting through the house, getting our current house ready for sale, hunting for a new house, and so on.
We've made some good headway on a lot of fronts, thankfully. Sandi's mom was put on the critical priority list for nursing homes, due to her Alzheimer's, and we got her a placement a lot quicker than anyone expected thanks to an expansion at one of the homes. It's good to know it wasn't due to someone else's loss, for a change.
We have been looking at houses and found several that we will going to look through. We have admittedly been picky about which house we're going to be choosing, but let's be realistic. This is a huge purchase that we're going to be living with it for a long, long time and we want to be happy with it.
Sorry for the long absence, everyone. Now that things are settling down again, I'll be going back to more regular postings.
That's enough for now, I suppose.

Pax, all!
