Inside every cynical person, there is a disappointed idealist. -George Carlin-
A year of mixed events is quickly drawing to a close. I've had the pleasure of being a grandfather for over a now, and am going to become one again. My friend Mark is becoming a father again, and has made some great steps forward in his career choices.
While we haven't sold the house yet, or bought a new one yet, I'm ok with that. As far as it goes, it's a great time to be looking for houses, given the market, but a horrible time to be a seller. I am guided by patience in this, and tempering it with prudence. The right opportunity will present itself.
While my employment situation has stagnated somewhat, it hasn't necessarily come to a dead end. It has also given me an eye to other opportunities. I am hoping a few recent tips will bear fruits in the new year.
With Christmas just a few days away, I want to take a moment to wish all of you a joyous holiday, and a prosperous new year. May good fortune and good tidings follow through 2009.
As I am writing this, I am coming to realize that I have missed blogging. The months of neglecting my posting have denied me a much needed outlet. This is an oversight I will make an effort in earnest to correct.
Pax, all!
