A day at the beach

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.
-Buddha-

26C, Sunny, with a light breeze. Basically, a perfect day for going to the beach. We packed up the dog, called Megan and headed for the beach. Batchewana is a beautiful beach. It was also very quiet today.
We pretty much had the beach to our selves. There was a group of people travelling in a motor home having something to eat when we got there, and another family came in for 2 hours later in the afternoon, but those were the only people who came in and stayed. There were a few drive throughs, of course, including an OPP officer on a motorbike.
We grilled up a few burgers and tube steaks for lunch, and soaked up some sun. Oh, and we hit the water too.
The water is not precisely warmed up yet. It's fine once you lose the feeling in your extremities, though. It wasn't too bad up close to the shore. In another couple of weeks it will be perfect. And if we get the hot summer that the forecasters are calling for, it will be a refreshing and regular destination.
Looks like there will be no hiding from the sun this year!

Pax, all.
