Possibilities abound.

A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer.

Summer appears to finally be here. ABOUT BLOODY TIME!
We are going to replace the deck on the house this year. We are hoping to get it finished in the next few weeks so we can enjoy it through the rest of the summer. By the time we are done, it will be a bit over twice as big as it is now. I can't wait to sit down and enjoy a cold beer in front of the fire on our new deck.
It's weird how sitting by a fire seems to have a relaxing, calming effect on most people. I know that I have worked out a lot of issues in front of our current chimnea. Sandi and I have had many serious conversations in front of the fire. I've helped my daughters through some difficult problems in front of that fire.
The same holds true for a campfire, or a fire in the fireplace. Just stare into the flames for a few moments and feel a warm calm settle through you. Take a moment (if you can) and look at the people sitting around you next time you have a fire. Watch their faces. Watch the serenity they find in those flames.
Even my grandchildren aren't immune to the power of the fire. They sit and stare quietly into the flames, thinking about whatever it is that's caught their fancy that day. Their thoughts must weigh heavily on their minds, because their eye lids slowly close under the weight.
It is amazing how much calmness can come from such a chaotic chemical reaction.

Pax, all.
